There’s yet another movie/video making the rounds about yet another foreigner having lost all his savings to yet another Thai wife… Lots of “woe is me” storytelling, as usual. What was interesting is that this one tale of woe concluded with some interesting advice from a guy that allegedly worked at an embassy in BKK – and that he had to deal with 5 similar cases *EVERY WEEK*  - and who knows how many go un-reported?

Nevertheless, the advice give is pretty good (if not common sense), so here it is:

The same poster above, is also using the IPs: 27.55.7.238 , 27.55.0.230 , 27.55.4.114 , 27.55.8.39 – all the same device, with the same UDID.

Ditto with 180.183.92.253 , 183.89.7.228 , 180.183.92.253 , 180.183.185.162 , 180.183.189.34 – all the same device, with the same UDID – posting as “NotKeith”, “Reggie”, “Keith”, and so on and so forth…

These are the exact same IP ranges, regularly used by the same names, as well as their other sockie-names, on here (“VanHoogstratten”, “Raul”, “John Q. Public”, etc…)

TWO IP ranges, all located in Bangkok, each running to the same exact device and ID, and each posting under various names, pretending to be on either side of the equation.

What does that tell us? (well, to the handful of us who are actually *real* readers, versus the one sock-puppet)

When Sharkie was asked why so many losers appear to hate him so, he (as always) provided the best response and analysis. Sounds familiar?

Man can’t stop ex from stalking him online after years

Seems like this girl, Yan, took  a page from Kenny’s playbook.

So, apparently this kind of obsessive stalking – like the kind that Kenny and our other special friend engage in, are quite common amongst jilted lovers with an SEA connection.

So, yesterday something interesting dropped into my InBox (ie email) – it’s a message from none other than Werewolf – who apparently cares enough about me to keep my email address in his online addressbook.

In fact, he cares enough about me that he included the visible email addresses of several of his friends, who apparently all needed to learn more about the magic of viagra, online medications, super-duper ways to make tons of money working from home, or whatever other spam-scam was contained in the email.

It was – in one word – funny.

Funny – mostly because you would think that a self-proclaimed “IT professional” like Mr. Werewolf would know better than to use an email provider than Yahoo – known for being ever so frequently compromised and hacked that Yahoo mail has become synonymous with spams and hacks.

IT professional – indeed.

Karma, I guess.
